Global Operations & Maintenance

Providing Global Operations & Maintenance (O&M) services to the United States government has been one of PAE’s core capabilities for over 50 years, and that customer base has since expanded to other governments, including Canada and New Zealand. Today PAE offers full scale base operations services, O&M services for U.S. Embassies and consulates, and general facilities management services for both government and commercial clients around the world.

Base Operations Services

PAE performs Base Operating Services (BOS) at Camp Lemonnier, which is located in Djibouti, Africa and is the only U.S. military installation on the African continent. As part of our contract with the U.S. Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC), PAE provides facilities design, construction, and maintenance and repair services; as well as facility support and utilities O&M, supply operations support, galley, air operations, housing, base support vehicles and equipment, public safety, morale, welfare and recreation (MWR), laundry, ordnance, and environmental services. As part of our commitment to the local community, the PAE Djibouti BOS program has established a local national internship program that has been welcomed by both local high schools and vocational schools in the area.

Facilities Operations, Maintenance and Management

PAE has performed O&M services at the U.S. Embassy in Moscow, Russia for over twenty years, and the level of customer satisfaction achieved on this contract has led to PAE’s management of O&M services at several other U.S. Embassies throughout Europe and Asia. For our Embassy program in Moscow, PAE provides administrative support, repair, renovation and custodial services at U.S. Embassy properties.

In the 1970s, PAE established a separate organization – PAE Design and Facilities Management (PDFM) – to consolidate all based architectural, engineering and facilities management projects that operate out of Japan. The PDFM facility management group has evolved from custodial and maintenance services to a full facilities management services provider, including life-cycle cost control and IT mission-critical systems performance assurance. In 1991, PAE and MWH New Zealand Limited co-founded PAE New Zealand Limited, to offer a comprehensive range of facilities management, operations and maintenance services to the New Zealand market.
